Overview

Composa VJ ("the App") respects your privacy and is committed to minimizing the collection of personal data.

Data Collection

The App does not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number, etc.)
• Location data
• Usage analytics
• Advertising identifiers
• User-created content (Session data, video files, etc.)

Local Data

The App stores the following data locally on your Mac:

• Session files (.composa format) — your visual composition settings
• Auto-save data — automatically saved Session state on app exit
• Plugin settings — information about installed plugins
• Purchase status — Pro upgrade status managed by Apple

All data is stored exclusively on your Mac and is never transmitted to external servers.

In-App Purchases

The App offers an in-app purchase (Pro upgrade) through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple's StoreKit framework. The developer does not have access to your payment information.

YouTube Plugin

When using the YouTube Plugin, yt-dlp is used to resolve temporary streaming URLs from YouTube video URLs. This processing runs locally on your Mac and does not pass through the developer's servers. Use of YouTube is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Network Communications

The App communicates over the network for:

• Purchase status verification with the App Store (Apple StoreKit 2)
• YouTube video URL resolution via yt-dlp (runs locally)

No other network communications are performed.

Third-Party Sharing

The App does not share, sell, or provide user data to third parties.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

This privacy policy may be updated as needed. Changes will be posted on this page.
